OBITUARY Janice Harolyn Chavis May 31, 1954 – January 27, 2019 Janice “Jan” Harolyn Chavis, 64, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Rodella Hallman. Jan retired from Bank of America after 25 years.

She was an avid reader and loved puzzle books. She is predeceased by her younger brother, Lawrence Dantzler Hallman. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Marvin Chavis; daughters, Mandy Dufries and Maggie Chavis; son, Carey Wiles; stepdaughters, Brandee Padgett and Leanne Carter; sister, Kathy Fudge; brother, Ray Hallman, Jr.; twelve grandchildren; as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
