Obituary for Janice L Martin Janice Lea Martin, 72, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 14, 2018, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was surrounded by her family during her final days sharing an array of stories, much laughter, and an endless amount of love. Janice was a resident of Fort Mill, South Carolina at the time of her passing.

Janice was born on June 30, 1945 to Dwight Hood and Alice Hood (Goodwin) in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. She was married to her loving husband Roger Allen Martin of 52 years on September 25, 1965 in Washington D.C. She is survived by her husband, Roger Allen Martin; sister Beverly Kennedy; son Randall Martin and daughter-in-law Kathleen Martin; son Ronald Martin and daughter-in-law Jane Martin; daughter Michelle Geyer and son-in-law James Geyer; and 6 granddaughters; Emily Martin, Victoria Martin, Katie Martin, Morgan Martin, Amanda Geyer, and Grace Geyer.

Janice touched the lives of many people and will always be remembered for having a caring soul, a generous heart, and a smile that could light up any room. She was a strong woman who cared deeply for her friends and family. Janice was known as an individual who loved passionately and unconditionally, giving all of herself to others every single day.

She will be deeply missed by those who loved her. Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018, 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home, 4431 old Monroe Road, Indian Trail, NC, 28079. The family will receive friends from 10AM-11AM, then again at the family home after the memorial service.
