Obituary for Janice Marie Brantner Janice Marie Brantner, age 82, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Forest Park Health Campus. Born February 10, 1936, in Richmond, Indiana, to Herrman J. and Marie Mathews Heitzman, Janice was a life-long resident of Richmond. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1954.

Janice was active in the RHS Alumni Association. She worked at DECCA Records, Richmond Community Schools, and the courthouse as a bailiff in Superior Court 2, from where she retired after working over 20 years. Janice was a member of the Elks Lodge #649 and St. Andrew Catholic Church.

She enjoyed golf and traveling. Survivors include her children, Jeffrey (Julia) Minner and Steve Minner, both of Indianapolis, Indiana, Laura (Randy) Brantner-Cordova of New Mexico, Vicki (David) Huffman of Arizona, Amy Brantner of Indianapolis, and SuzAnne Brantner; daughter-in-law, Patty Minner of New Paris, Ohio; grandchildren, Alex, Jake, Marisa, Kayleigh, Rylee, and Larkin Minner; grandchildren-in-law; great-grandchildren-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward S. “Eddie” Brantner III, who died January 14, 2016; first husband, William Minner, who died in 1993; son, David Wayne Minner; parents; sister, Betty Sherer; and brothers, Bobby and Junior Heitzman.

Visitation for Janice Marie Brantner will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Deacon Frank Roberts officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
