Janice Marie Kirsch September 18, 1946 – December 14, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Janice Marie Forinash Kirsch, 72, of Ireland, WV, passed away at 3:15 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 in the Hamden Nursing and Rehabilitation center in Hamden, OH. She was born in Wildcat, WV on September 18, 1946 a daughter of the late Emory and Rada Kincaid Forinash. On May 2, 2018, she and the love of her life, James Kirsch, celebrated 48 wonderful years of marriage until his recent passing on September 23, 2018.

Janice is survived by her two sisters Mabel Thompson of Canton, OH, and Janet Ruland of Saegertown, PA; one brother, Delmar “Jack” Forinash of Albion, PA; several nieces and nephews; many close friends including: Carl Watson and wife, Rita (and their family), and Keith Boggs both of Ireland, WV. She was preceded in death by her: six sisters, Pauline Walden, Norma Kohut, Phyllis “Jean” Simpson, Geneva Sue Laseck, Connie McGuire, and Donna McLauglin; three brothers, Dallas, William “Mickey”, and Dennis Forinash. Janice graduated from Northwestern High School in 1965; she obtained a four year bachelor’s degree as registered nurse and worked for over 35 years in the nursing field before retiring in 2007.

Above all else Janice treasured time spent with her family. You could often find Janice reading, gardening, cooking, and sewing. If you stopped by to visit, you had better have the time to spare for a good story.

She loved to collect antiques, traveling, and shopping. They were even “snow birds” and would travel to Florida during the harsh northern winters. Janice and Jim made Ireland there home for the past 26 years and enjoyed every minute of time spent together.

Family and friends will gather at the Clutter Funeral Home-Alkire Chapel located at 190 Wildcat Rd. in Ireland from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Funeral services will follow from the Alkire Chapel with Father Joseph McLaughlin officiating.

Interment will follow in the Kincaid Cemetery on Buttermilk Rd. Clutter Funeral Home-Alkire Chapel is honored and privileged to serve the Kirsch family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.
