Obituary for Janice Morris Janice Drop Morris passed away on November 12, 2018 at the age of 96. She was born November 4, 1922 to Wilbur C. Hallett and Laura (Angle) Hallett in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Janice lived in East Stroudsburg most of her life, graduating from East Stroudsburg High School in 1941. She married Rudolph Drop December 25, 1941 just prior to his service in the Army Air Force during World War II that same year. They remained in East Stroudsburg until his death in 1980.

For most of the remainder of her life, Janice lived in Florida, marrying Leroy Morris in 1990. Leroy died in 2006. Janice was very active during her lifetime; her career began at Hughes Printing Company in East Stroudsburg.

Later, she was employed by Ronson Corporation in Delaware Water Gap for 13 years, in addition to becoming the treasurer of the Ronson Employees Federal Credit Union. Until her move to Florida, she remained treasurer of the credit union throughout its transition to ESSA Federal Credit Union. After 24 years serving as treasurer, Janice worked for the Health Rehabilitative Services in Fort Pierce, Florida for four years prior to her retirement.

A beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her family. In addition to her daughters, Nancy Biondo and husband, Frank in Fort Pierce, Florida and Carol Weisbruch and her husband, Jim, in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, Janice is survived by a sister, Fay Brink of Vero Beach Florida. Her brother, Chester Hallett and sister, Martha Williams preceded her in death.

She has five grandchildren: Charles Locke, Jr. and wife Gina of Stroudsburg, PA; Janice Nicolosi and husband, Ben of West Pittston, PA; Richard Locke and wife, Carissa of Lehman, PA; Laura Barlow and husband, Dan of Southern Shores, NC; and Nancy Grillo and husband, Charles, of White Haven, PA. And six great-grandchildren, Rebecca Locke and Daniel Locke of Stroudsburg, PA; Taylor Grillo of White Haven, PA; Isabella Locke and James Locke of Lehman, PA; and Ellianne Barlow of Southern Shores, NC. Also, many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held from 2pm until the time of services at 3pm, Saturday, November 17 at the Joseph Pula Funeral Home, 23 North Ninth Street, Stroudsburg. Cremation will follow with burial held at Laurelwood Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Janice, flowers or a donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or a favorite charity would be appreciated.
