Pullins, 35 years of age, and a resident of South Amherst, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. He was born February 13, 1984 in Oberlin, Ohio. Jared was a lifetime resident of Lorain County.

He graduated from Firelands High School with the class of 2002. Jared was employed with at Amherst Hospital and most recently at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center as a Supervisor of Environmental Services. He was very musical and participated in band throughout school up until high school graduation.

Jared taught himself to play the guitar. He loved American History and participated in Civil War reenactments with his brother Joshua. Among those who will cherish Jared’s memory is his daughter Breanna Pullins of South Amherst; his parents Charles and Carol Pullins (nee: Springer) of South Amherst; his brother Joshua Pullins (Kara) and their son Levi of Dayton; his grandfather Charles Pullins; and his fiancé Kim Warner of Elyria.

He was preceded in death by his brother Jason Pullins in infancy. Friends may call Tuesday, March 26, 2019, from 3-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave. , Amherst.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Brian Burke, pastor of Community Congregational United Church of Christ in Amherst will officiate.

Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Community Congregational United Church of Christ; 379 South Main Street, Amherst, Ohio 44001.
