Jason Frank Glattfelder , 43, of Argyle, died at 9:48 am Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Born September 3, 1975, in Mount Pleasant, IA, he was the son of Terry Lee and Kathy Denise Stagner Glattfelder. Jason worked the evening shift on the production line for Federal Mogul for eight years.

He also worked for Sheaffer Pen, Wabash Trucking and drove a semi for Glacier Ice and many local companies. Jason enjoyed boating, kayaking on lakes with his family and riding four wheelers. He loved playing video games, watching movies, magic cards, artifact hunting, riding horses, camping, being a collector and reading.

Jason earned an Eagle Scout award. When Jason was twelve years old, he saved a four year old from drowning in a pool. Survivors include mother, Kathy Denise Glattfelder of Argyle, IA, three sisters, Sabrina Lee (Gabe Durham) Glattfelder of Keokuk, Sondra Lee Glattfelder of Argyle, Stephanie Jo (William) Rankin of Argyle, three nephews, Logan Fraise, Dylan Rankin, Caleb Rankin, two nieces, Liam Rankin, Chloe Durham, two aunts, Debra Sammons of Salem, IA, Lisa Stagner of Washington, IA, one uncle, Randy Glattfelder of Mayer, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, Jason was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his sister, Lee Anne Glattfelder. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory. The Graveside Committal Service for Jason will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Edwards Cemetery 1249 C Avenue Oakville, Iowa 52646 with Father Carl Mann officiating.

A memorial has been established.
