OBITUARY Jean Barefoot Gallant November 25, 1933 – July 24, 2018 Ms. Jean Barefoot Gallant, age 84 of Dunn passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Jean was born on November 25, 1933, in the Clement Area of Sampson County the daughter of the late Arba Barefoot and Willie Alice Honeycutt Barefoot. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Gallant; second husband, Rip Sizemore; a daughter, Cathy Jean Crandall; brothers, William Bright Barefoot and Robert McDonald Barefoot; sister, Leodia ‘Faye’ Pridgeon.

Jean was a devout Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Dunn. She worked at Morganite for several years. She then became a private sitter and caregiver to the elderly and was a homemaker.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church with Dr. Len Keever and Quint Barefoot officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Branch Church Cemetery. She is survived by: Daughters: Caron Gallant of Erwin, NC; Cynthia Gallant Mitchell & (husband) Marvin of Sneads Ferry, NC A Sister: Leatrice Florke-Collins of Dunn, NC Grandchildren: Misty Barefoot Parker & (husband) Ray; Clint Royal both of Erwin, NC; Chase Lewis & (wife) Becke of Fayetteville, NC; Tina Jackson Good of Virginia; Jon Crandall & Scott Crandall both of California.

5 Great Grandchildren: The family will receive friend Friday Evening, July 27, 2018 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn, NC and at other times at the home of Caron Gallant, 295 Salt Market St., Dunn, NC. Flowers are welcomed or Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Dunn, NC 28334.
