Jean I. Line, 89, passed away November 5, 2018 at The Oaks at Northpointe, Zanesville, OH. She was born January 29, 1929 in Eagle Point, PA, daughter of the late George Irey and Beatrice Bell Irey. She was an accountant for Nordson Corp.

in Amherst, OH and Baptist by faith. She moved to Zanesville in 1983 to be near her daughter’s family. She lived thirty-one years at Maple Terrace Hi-rise where she was back-up caretaker and an officer of the residents’ council.

She was a huge sports fan, especially Cleveland Browns, Indians and OSU football. She loved football season most of all! She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Kurt) White of Zanesville, OH and Trudy (John) Poore of Brisbane, Australia; sister Alice Hardaway of Claysville, PA; several grandchildren, Katrina (Donny) Lukehart of Lake Elsinore, CA, Nathan (Sharon) White of Palm Desert, CA, Nickolas (Ann) White of San Diego, CA, Jacob (Kirsty) Poore of Loveland, CO, Dr. Andrew (Kate) Poore of Lexington, KY, Jacquelyn (Andrew) Moore of Albuquerque, NM; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Alexa Lukehart, James and Gwendolyn White, Matthew Poore and Eliza Poore.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy Emerson Line; brothers, Robert Irey and James Irey; sister Betty Taylor. Calling hours will be held 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at DeLong-Baker Lanning Funeral Home. A graveside service for family and friends will take place 2:00 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Lakewood Park Cemetery 22025 Detroit Rd.
