Obituary for Jean Lavoie (Bemer) Jean (Bemer) Lavoie, 86, of East Hartford, wife of over 65 years to the late Raymond E. Lavoie, passed away December 17, 2018 in Hartford Hospital. She was born in Glastonbury on June 1, 1932, daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Lipa) Bemer. Jean was a graduate of Glastonbury High School and worked with her husband at the R.E. Lavoie Builders for over 50 years.

She enjoyed bowling at the Holiday Lanes for many years, was a horseshoe and recently cornhole player and loved her trips to the casino. Jean will be dearly missed by her two sons, Thomas Lavoie and his wife Mary of South Windsor, Matthew Lavoie of Glastonbury; her daughter Bonnie Ewing and her husband Jeffrey of Manchester; five adored grandchildren, Katie Mazzie and her husband Shaun, Christine Fisher, Timothy Lavoie and Brian and Justin Ewing; four great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Evan Mazzie, Landon and Colton Fisher, her brother-in-law Conrad Lavoie and many dear friends. Besides her husband, Jean was predeceased by her seven brothers and sisters.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Avenue, Glastonbury, with a Service of Remembrance at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery (Veterans Section) East Hartford. Memorial donations may be made to Protectors of Animals, 140 Main St., East Hartford, CT 06118.
