She was born February 17, 1929, the daughter of John Francis and Marie Herbert O’Grady. She was preceded in death by five brothers, John Jr., Herbert, Edward, Russell and Norman; and four sisters, Josephine Carter, Marie Mehfoud, Mildred McDonough and Patricia O’Grady.

Miss O’Grady was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and of Dumbarton College of the Holy Cross, Washington D.C. She was an employee of the Virginia Public Health Laboratory for 37 years, retiring as Assistant Director of the Microbiology Laboratory. She was a charter member of The Church of the Redeemer in Mechanicsville.

Miss O’Grady basked in and enjoyed the love and companionship of her nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law, Jane O’Grady Tiller ; and her many friends. She resided at Covenant Woods in Mechanicsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 25 at The Church of the Redeemer .

Interment will be 2:30 p.m. Monday in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
