Jeanne (Fountain) Kotkosky, age 90, of Scottsdale, Arizona (formally of Little Chute and Kimberly) passed away peacefully on May 16, 2018. She was born in Chicago on August 29, 1927, and was the only daughter of the late Eugene and Madeline (Newman) Fountain. On July 26, 1952 she married Gordon John Kotkosky in Appleton.

They enjoyed 52 years together until his passing in March of 2005. Jeanne attended Dominican University, in River Forest, Illinois and graduated from the University of Milwaukee in 1948. She went onto teach kindergarten in Manitowoc, East Grand Rapids Michigan, Appleton and Kimberly before retiring in 1976.

Jeanne enjoyed traveling, music, reading, golf and especially fishing. She is survived by her children: John (Roberta) Kotkosky of Waxhaw North Carolina; Mark (Barbara) Kotkosky of Little Chute; and Mary (Kim) Derks of Scottsdale Arizona. Eight grandchildren: Angela (special friend John) Kotkosky, Nikki (special friend Jay) Tuffin, and Michelle (Tad) Pemental all of Plymouth, Massachusetts; Nicole (Logan) Will of Garner North Carolina; Katelyn Herzfeldt of Kaukauna; Matthew Kotkosky of Little Chute; Jacqueline (Adam) Massey, Nathan (special friend Tiffany) Derks, and Wesley Derks all of Phoenix, Arizona.

Nine great grandchildren: Hayden, Lilly, Jack and Evan, all of Plymouth Massachusetts; Parker of Kaukauna; Phoebe, London and Zachary all of Phoenix, Arizona. She is further survived by one brother Thomas (Beverly) Fountain of Appleton, and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon; parents: Eugene and Madeline (Newman) Fountain; brother Gerald; and her husband’s sisters: Dorothy Weber, Sister Alice Kotkosky, and Mariam Gumz.

Prayer services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 101 Canal Street, Little Chute. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Appleton.
