Rick J. Van Rossum, age 69, of De Pere, passed away at his home on July 6, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 7, 1949, son of the late Henry and Luella (Ambrosius) Van Rossum. On October 25, 1974, Rick married Bonnie Baril, and together they had three children.

Rick was a lifelong dairy farmer, and he ran his family farm with pride until his retirement. He enjoyed going for rides in his convertible, playing cards and spending time with his neighborhood friends. Rick is survived by his son, Peter Van Rossum; brothers: Dennis (Carol), Michael (Mary), Scott (Joni) and Lyle (Theresa) Van Rossum; a sister, Lisa (Joe) Draves; brothers and sisters-in-law: John Fiers, Bill (Peggy) Baril, Elaine Wingo, John (Linda) Baril, Joseph (Debbie) Baril, Barb (Steve) Hanke and Mary Gullmire; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; children: Andy and Patti Van Rossum; sister, Bonnie Fiers; brothers and sisters-in-law: Judy (Bob) Pennenberg, Terry Baril and Walter Wingo. Visitation will be held at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Freedom location, N3972 Columbia Ave. , Freedom, on Monday, July 9, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, N5589 County Road E, De Pere, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, Wrightstown.
