Obituary for Jeffrey Herran Jeffrey Herran, 72, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was born September 9, 1946 in South Bend to the late Bud Herran and Reba (Craig) Riggs. He retired from Chrysler in 1994 after 30 years of service.

Jeffrey was an avid golfer and enjoyed music, the outdoors and nature. He was a wonderful friend and an honest person; he was known as a person that would take a secret to the grave. Jeffrey loved his dog, Benson and his cat, Frack.

He enjoyed spending “cabin time” with friends and especially enjoyed time with “The Jasonville guys”. He is survived by a daughter, Darlene Herran of New Castle; grandchildren, Kenny (Ashley) Herran of New Castle, Katelyn Cooper of New Castle and Curtis Jeffrey Cooper of New Castle; siblings, Don Herran of New Castle, Mark Riggs of Shirley, Randy Riggs of Shirley and Ronnie Riggs of Shirley, ex son-in-law, Ted Griffin of FL; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Gallion) Herran.
