Jeffrey Scott Jones, 68, went to his forever home on June 16, 2018, surrounded by his friends and family. Jeffrey was born January 19, 1950 to Charles Alfred Jones Sr. and Bertha Mae Gibson. A native to Buncombe county, Jeff lived in Candler for most of his life and graduated from Enka High School.

He enjoyed mechanic work, particularly on small engines and his lawnmower, as well as cars. His greatest joy always remained to spend time with his friends a family. He is preceded in death by; both his parents, Charles and Bertha; his brother, Charles Alfred (Boodle); his little daughter and light of his life, Kimberly Marie; his nephews, Charles (Chuck) Jones and Hunter Lee Nathaniel; and his sister-in-law, Dawn.

Jeff worked as a professional finisher and mechanic, his employers including Champion Finishing, Burlington APAC, Dynatex, and Asheville Waste Paper. He is survived by Raymond and Leesa Jones, Edwin (Funffy) Jones, Debbie Reece Jones, and Henry; his nieces and nephews, all of whom he treated like his own children, Jason, Holly Arrington, Allen Reece, Kevin, and Melony; his great nieces and nephews, Elijah Carl, Patrick, Kimberly Marie, Bryan, and Xyander and Xavier Scott; and his great-great nieces and nephews, Havanah Bristol, Raymond Braylan, and Lillie. His family was his heart and soul and Jeff loved them all endlessly.

The family would like to say thank you to Howard and Rocky Chase, for treating their family as their own, as well as the family of the late Ronnie Passmore, for always doing the same. The family is lost without him. He was a constant light in their life, protecting them, and they all knew no matter what, Jeff had their back.

He was a great brother, a loving uncle, and will be missed forever. A service is to be announced at a later date.
