Gerald Allison “Jerry” Peeling, Jr., 62, of Westminster, MD passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born September 1, 1956 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Gerald Allison Peeling, Sr. and the late Rosalie (Clingan) Peeling. Jerry was a graduate of Westminster High school, class of ’74.

He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his 4 siblings, A. Elizabeth “Lisa” Shriver and husband Andrew of Hanover, PA, Tom Peeling and wife Sharon of Westminster, Michele Nieberlein and husband Chris of Finksburg and J. Craig Peeling of Westminster; nieces, April Sigmon and husband Ryan of Hampstead, Amanda Lewis and husband Micah of Mt.

Airy, Jessica Dickens and husband Nick of Venice, FL, Ashley Peeling and fiancé Joe Duckworth of Westminster, and Abigail Shriver of Hanover, PA; nephew, Nick Nieberlein of Finksburg; great-nieces, Grayson and Addyson; and great-nephews, Trent, Colton and Keegan. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, MD 21157, with the Rev. Andrew DeFusco as celebrant.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 14th at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jerry’s name to The American Cancer Society, 1004 N. Juniata Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 or to St. John Catholic Church at the above address.
