Jerry Young, 59 of Seymour passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon. Jerry was born to on April 27, 1959 in Centerville to Harold & June (Taylor) Young. On February 14, 1986, Jerry was united in marriage to Teresa Campbell.

To this union came three children: Stephanie, Jerel and Jaron. Jerry drove a truck the majority of his life. Driving a truck was in Jerry’s blood, that was passed down from his father.

He has passed that love down to his son and grandkids. When at home, Jerry enjoyed time with his family, especially fishing with his grandchildren, playing with his dog, Eddie and riding his Harley. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Young, children: Stephanie Brown (Phil), Jerel Young (Samantha), Jaron Young, grandchildren: Brody, Tucker and Sadie Young, along with Ace Brown, sisters: Peggy Essick, Sheryl Dotts (David), mother-in-law, Edna Wilty and numerous extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & June Young and a brother-in-law, Frank Essick. Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, March 1, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour. Visitation will Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home from 1-7 pm, with the family present from 5-7 pm.
