Obituary for Jesse Dunn Brimmer Jesse Dunn Brimmer 72, of Martinsville, Virginia, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Kindred hospital of Greensboro, North Carolina. He was born June 16, 1947 in Martinsville, to the late Clarence and Betty Brimmer. Jesse attended the Henry County public schools.

He was employed by American Furniture of Martinsville. He enjoyed joking, laughing, singing, playing the guitar, piano, organ, and harmonica, and being around family and friends. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Betty Brimmer; brothers, Albert “Dickie” Brimmer, and Clarence McGuire Brimmer; and a sister, Roxie Anne Hairston.

Those left to cherish his memory are his stepmother, Rosa C. Brimmer, and his sister, Betty Jean Moyer. Jesse is also survived by his children, Jeffery and Karice Brimmer, Daryl and Amy Brimmer, and Jesse Deshawn Brimmer; and grandchildren, Demitrie Crawley, Davequan Crawley and Daryl Brimmer, Jr.; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Thursday, September 27, 2018, at 11:30 AM at Mt.

Olivet Apostolic Church, 8770 A. L. Philpott Highway, Martinsville, with Elder Wooding officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the funeral. Burial will be at the Brimmer Cemetery, 211 Cabell Street, Martinsville, Virginia.
