Obituary for Jesse R. “Pete” McCamish Obituary for Jesse R. “Pete” McCamish Jesse R. “Pete” McCamish, 81, passed away at his home Tuesday, September 11, 2018. Born in Louisville on September 23, 1936, Pete was a son of the late Jess and Susan Johnson McCamish. He was a graduate of DuPont Manual High School, Class of 1954.

His working career began with Standard Gravure in Louisville, Arcadia Graphics in California, Quebecor in Rhode Island and retired in 2005 from Quebecor in Memphis. He served in the Coast Guard Reserve for two years, was a Kentucky Colonel, worked along side his wife at Ratterman Funeral Home, was a volunteer for Baptist Hospital East and was a volunteer for the Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Department. Pete was a member of the Free Methodist Church in St. Matthews.

Besides his parents, a brother Marion preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Florence Heil McCamish; three daughters, Vickie Kingsley, Diana Redditt and Teresa Elkin (David); five grandchildren, Christopher Buess (Teri), Terry Van Fleet, Ashley Van Fleet (Richard), Travis Kingsley and Traci Kingsley; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Lee McCamish also survives. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Ratterman Brothers, 3711 Lexington Road.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children. Online condolences may be left at www.
