Obituary for Jessica Lee Venturino Our beloved, beautiful, talented, creative, loving, hilarious daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Jessie has left this earthly existence. Those who knew her and loved her will remember her humor and fun-loving spirit. She was always ready with a pun or a quick comeback.

She was full of life and love. She cared so much about everyone in her life and was selfless in her desire to nurture others in any way she could. She was intuitive and sensitive and could empathize with anyone.

She was an avid reader and loved comics and movies. Fantasy and science fiction were her happy place. Her passion for books extended into a love of writing.

She was a talented storyteller and delighted in sharing her imagination with her nieces and nephews. She touched many children’s lives with her love and understanding through her work as a teacher. Wherever she has gone, she’s sure to be with fairies, unicorns, mermaids and wizards.

Though depression is a natural part of life that affects us all to some degree, it is only just becoming acceptable to talk about. Jessie’s battle was constant. She felt so much and so deeply.

She felt all the happiness and joy there is in the world, along with all of the despair and pain. She showed immense strength in her perseverance on a daily basis. She carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, and she decided it was her time to lay it down.

She truly wanted to help everyone, to heal all the wounds of the world, but she had so much of her own pain. Now her burden has been lifted, and she can be there for us all in the way she always wanted. Her light has not left us, but has amplified beyond her physical form to brighten the world with her immense love.

We invite you to share in honoring and remembering Jessie’s life. Friday, June 29 at the West Pavillion at Canyon Rim Park at 11:00 am (3100 South 2900 East). In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Sharing Place, an organization that Jessie was passionate about.
