Susan Denise Nordmeyer, 59, of Orem passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. She was born August 15, 1958 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She married John Ross Barrett on November 10, 1978, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Susan graduated from Orem High School where she enjoyed playing viola in the orchestra. She attended UVU and BYU and participated on the BYU Ballroom Dance Team. Her many years as a school bus driver for Provo and Nebo School District showed her care for students and their safety.

Her hobbies included crocheting, and coloring gifts for her associates. She served in the Elk Ridge volunteer Fire Department. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved to attend the temple.

Susan is survived by her parents Francis and Jerry Nordmeyer: her children Shaun Barrett of Saint Cloud, FL, KJ Fox of Orem, UT, Scott (Andrea) Barrett of Lamar, CO, and Necole (Brad) Bryce of Orem, UT; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary located at 495 S State St., Orem, Utah.

A viewing for friends and family will be held Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent at www.
