Jessie Flo McConnell July 23, 1923 – February 04, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Nickelsville, VA – Jessie Flo Harris McConnell, 95 Jessie Flo Harris McConnell, age 95 of Nickelsville, VA passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Holston Manor, Kingsport, TN. She was born in Nickelsville, VA on July 28, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Naomi Addington Harris. In addition to her parents Jessie was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Kenneth McConnell, and a son Dalton Edward McConnell and a sister Eileen Price.

She was member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by 2 sons, Darrell McConnell (Betty) and Roger McConnell (Lyna Faye); daughter, Brenda Dingus (Donnie); daughter-in-law, Joyce Hillman McConnell; sister Helen Blevins (Bill); 5 grandchildren Laura Greene, Mitchell McConnell (Lexie), Kevin Dingus (Ashley) Bridget Banner (Hank) and Dawn McConnell; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 12 noon to 1 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA.

Funeral service will follow at 1 PM with Bro. Mike Bays officiating. Music will be provided by Theresa Lane and Tracey Edwards.

Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family would like to express special thanks to Crown Cypress, Holston Manor, and Dr. Demotts. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
