Obituary for Jim Conley James “Jim” Roger Conley, 74, of 106 Kirby Drive, Ninety Six, husband of Donna Hannah Conley, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Hospice House. Born in Evanston IL. , he was a son of the late Charles E. and Margaret Johnson Conley.

He was retired from Sara Lee Bakery Group, a former member of the Lions Club, Treasurer of G.A.S.P. (Greenwood Area Studio Potters), and an active participant of “The Empty Bowls” fundraiser for the Greenwood Soup Kitchen. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his son, Jim Conley, II (Debbie) of Chicago, IL; his sister, Barbara Malone (Richard) of O’Fallon, MO; a brother, Charles “Butch” Conley (Mary Ann) of Peoria, IL; several nieces and nephews; and three fur babies, Henry, Louis, and Dixie. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Humane Society Building Fund, PO Box 49776, Greenwood, SC 29649; Big Oaks Rescue Farm, 2305 Kate Way, Greenwood, SC 29646; or Greenwood Soup Kitchen, 929 Phoenix Street, Greenwood, SC 29646.
