Obituary for Austin Shane Carithers Austin Shane Carithers, 26, of 110 C Windtree Court, Greenwood, died Thursday, May 17, 2018. Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of Derrick Carithers and Kristie Calvert Ledford. Austin worked with M. E. C. and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Joe Wall. Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Brittany Carithers of Gaffney; two brothers, O’Ryan Carithers of Greenwood and Jamin Carithers of Spartanburg; a nephew, Ellis Adams of Union; and grandparents, Doug Carithers, of Spartanburg, Joanne Carithers of Greenwood and Pat Wall of Mauldin. The family will receive friends at the home on Sunday from 2-4 pm.
