Obituary for Chuck Bennett Charles Dee Bennett, 86, of 221 Phillips Circle, Greenwood, husband of Annie Workman Bennett, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at his home. Born in Greenview, AR, he was the son of the late Connie and Jewel Dixon Bennett. Charles was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a self-employed electrician.

He enjoyed working with Habitat Humanities for many years and was a Woodman of the World member. Chuck was a jack of all trades and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by a step son, Wesley Taylor along with three brothers.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are five sons, Charles Bennett, Jr., Jack Bennett, Steve Bennett, Glenn Bennett and Dan Bennett; two step children, Norma Wessel and Kenneth Taylor; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Ramsey officiating.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1-2pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Greenwood Area Habitat Resale Store c/o Robert Laughter, 337 Maxwell Ave, Greenwood, SC 29648. The family is at the home.
