Mrs. Rose M. (Emond) Wenners, born on October 3, 1924 in Quincy, Massachusetts, to the late Mary (Plourde) Emond and the late Oscar Emond, passed away at age 93 on June 20, 2018 in Greenwood, South Carolina. She graduated from Quincy High School in 1942. She worked at various restaurants for many years as a waitress, while raising six children.

She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel S. Wenners; brothers, Oscar Emond Jr., Armond Emond, and Edward Emond; and sisters, Rita Fontana and Adeline Marcott. Rose is survived by her sons, Bernard J. Wenners Jr., Michael E. Wenners, Peter F. Wenners, and Thomas M. Wenners; daughter, Virginia M. Vose. Rose is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Rose loved golf, Wii Bowling, contract Bridge, line dancing, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. With her unique golf skill, she scored a hole-in-one (ace) at the age of 87. Her beautiful handmade gifts to her family, will be remembered and treasured for many years to come.

She also traveled extensively including Europe (Italy, Ireland) and Asia (Japan, China, Hong Kong). Family was the center of her life with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 9:00 am, Tuesday June 26, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church in Greenwood, SC.

Inurnment will at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at a later date. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes—Catholic Church, (915 Mathis Road, Greenwood, SC 29649). Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes (address above) or HospiceCare of the Piedmont, (408 West Alexander Ave.
