Obituary for Marvin Boatwright Marvin Zelotees Boatwright, 83, of 502 East Cambridge Avenue, Greenwood, husband of Barbara Germonprez Boatwright, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Hospice House. Born in Batesburg, he was the son of the late Anthony Drexel Boatwright and LaFond Kneece Boatwright. Marvin was a U. S. Air Force veteran having served during the Korean War.

He was the owner and operator of Greenwood Glass, a member of Greenwood Jaycees and was on the Greenwood City Council from 1979-1982. Marvin was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Derrell Boatwright.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Elaine Copeland (Rhett) of Abbeville, Steve Boatwright, Alan Boatwright (Kelly), Amy Crouch (Mike), Josh Boatwright, all of Greenwood, Phillip Boatwright of Augusta, Nancy Walden (Ed) of Hodges, Paul Boatwright (Toni) of Athens, GA, Eric Boatwright of Columbia and Laura Schwab (Mike) of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Janice Bendenbaugh of Leesville and Wanda Kunis (Bob) of Buford, GA; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Father Timothy Tebalt officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the St. Bernadette Hall at the church.
