Frances Griffin “shorty” Ebert, 72, resident of 130 Old Abbeville Highway, wife of Arthur E. “Butch” Ebert, died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Hospice House. Born in Stamford, CT, February 15, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Francis M. “Frank” and Lorraine Varney Griffin. For many years, Mrs. Ebert served as financial secretary for several churches in the Abbeville Baptist Association and was a member of Westminster Wesleyan Church in Westminster, SC where she was former Choir Director… Read More » and Sunday School teacher.

She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and former Hospice and Self Regional Healthcare volunteer. Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are three daughters, Page Ebert Owens and husband Jeff of Waterloo, Diane Ebert Marcengill and husband Russ and Letitia Ebert Marcengill and husband Duane, all of Westminster; one son, Frank William Ebert and wife Angela of Greenwood along with an adopted son in love, Douglas H. Ebert and wife Ann of Mountain Rest, SC; two sisters, Jean Lutz and husband Chris of Summerville, SC and Lorriane Fiocco and husband Augie of Carmel, NY along with ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 Saturday in Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev.

Ken Culbertosn, Rev. Frank Thomas and Rabbi Yvon LeDoux and Rev. Grady Lothridge officiating.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Justice, Chip Dellinger, Brian Griffin, Dwight Griffin, Joe Sanders and John Stuckey. The family is at the home and will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 Saturday afternoon and immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to Westminster Wesleyan Church Building Fund, 311 N. Piedmont Street, Westminster, SC 29693 or to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
