Thomas Warren “Tommy” Lawton, Jr., 62, resident of 1612 Nation Road in Hodges, husband of Melanie Hall Lawton, died Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Hospice House in Greenwood. Born in Greenwood, December 15, 1955, he was a son of Nelva Anderson Lawton and the late Thomas Warren “Shorty” Lawton. Tommy was a graduate of Greenwood High School and retired from Greenwood CPW Electrical Department.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home… Read More » and mother of Greenwood are his daughter, Allison Lawton and fiancée Marc Cromer; grandsons, Kaminer and Stokes Cromer; a sister, Jane Lawton Scott and husband Dwayne, all of Greenwood; mother-in-law, Mary H. Hall of Hodges; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hall Brock and husband Tom of Waterloo; three nephews, Austin and Justin Scott and J.T. Brock; a niece, Lauralee Scott. and grandsons, Kaminer and Stokes Cromer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chris Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Troy West, Chad Corley, Jason Shirley, Matthew Pollard, Brent Akers and Daniel Bouknight.

Honorary escort will be employees of the Greenwood CPW Electrical Department. The family is at the home on Nation Road and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening. Memorials may be made to Rock Presbyterian Church, 122 Rock Church Road, Greenwood, SC 29649.
