Obituary for Jimmie A. Smith Jimmie A. Payne Smith age 98 of Thomasville, AL, formerly of Northport, AL died July 2, 2018 at Thomasville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 4, 1920 in Jackson, AL to Dennis Franklin and Cora Lynn Payne. She was a retired police dispatcher with the Northport Police Department and a member of Tuscaloosa United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Smith O’Bryant of Thomasville, AL three sons, Daniel M. Smith of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Joe Davis Smith of Aliquippa, PA; and Charles Payne Smith of Pembine, WI; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland D. Smith; son, Andrew Smith, two grandchildren; one great grandchild; her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Graveside funeral services will be held at Hollingsworth Cemetery in Grove Hill, AL on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Thomasville United Methodist Church. Arrangements by O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville, AL.
