Obituary for Jimmie Harris WATCH VISITATION LIVE CLICK VIDEO TAB IN TRIBUTE Jimmie Lee Harris was born December 7, 1939 in Lamar, Mississippi to Arthur and Alice Harris. He attended Old Salem High School in Ashford, MS. On July 16, 1984, Jimmie joined in holy matrimony to Carolyn and through this union had one daughter.

Jimmie Harris accepted Christ at an early age and later joined New Revelation Baptist Church under Rev. R.T. Mitchell. He retired from Ford Motor Company of 30 years of service.

Later, he worked part time at Toyota of Merrillville, IN for 10 years. Jimmie loved fishing and enjoyed playing Bid Whist. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Elizabeth Everett, Pearl McNeal, Curtis Harris Sr., Arthur Harris Jr., Louise Jefferson, Marie Hampton.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Carolyn Harris of 34 years, 3 daughters; Kiyanna (Rommie Jr.)Smith, Patricia (Michael) Riley, Cathy Crawford, 1 step daughter, Latrece (Todd) Thompson, 3 sons; Curtis Mitchell, Carlos (Bridgette) Bulloch, Keith (Victoria) Bulloch, and 1 step son, Bruce Edwin Hill Jr, one brother; Levi Harris. 4 sister in laws; Mary Harris, Doris (John) Holloway, Ruth Strong, Denice Peterson, 1 brother in law; Harry Peterson. He has 17 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
