Jimmie Ray Emerson, 67, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. He was born January 27, 1952, in Martinsville, to the late Jaybird and Arlene (Merriman) Emerson. He was a truck driver for Old Dominion Trucking Company.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Mae (Turner) Emerson; sons, Brian Emerson, Ronnie Wagoner and Michael Wagoner; sisters, Eunice (Eugene) Roberts, Becky (Allen) Mabry; brothers, Jay Emerson, Ronnie “Cotton” (Donna) Emerson, Tommy (Madeline) Emerson and Billy (Ginger) Emerson; grandchildren, Rylee Emerson, Macy Wagoner and Landon Wagoner; two nieces and five nephews; as well as two very special friends in his life, James and Francis Scott. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 10, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville. The service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev.
