Pelion – Mr. Jimmy Dale Davis, Sr. went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 21st 2018. Mr. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Ann Martin Davis; children Debra (Randy) Hutto of Quitman, GA, Jimmy Dale (Rosonia) Davis, Jr. of Salley, Tina Lynn (Blake) Harlin of Lexington, Joseph Anthony Davis of Pelion, and Barbara (Trey) Rowell of North, and grandfather “Pop Pop” of Breeanna Hutto, Bayley Hutto, Katelyn Hutto, Haley Harlin, and Evan Rowell. He is also survived by his brother Roy (Pam) Davis of Norway, sister Betty Gunnell of North, brother-in-law Colin Martin of Salley, and Sherry (Ray) Scott of Graniteville.

Mr. Jimmy is the son of the late Hubert Lee Davis and the late Inez Hutto Davis. He was also preceded in death by siblings; Son Davis, Ted Davis, Frances Hutto, Lurean Armstrong, and Elizabeth Stevenson; brothers-in-law Billy Ray Martin, Roland Martin, Bruce Martin; and sister-in-law Modist Smith. Mr. Jimmy was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

He retired after 30 years of service from Tamper Railroad. Visitation for Mr. Jimmy will be Tuesday from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Gantt Street Baptist Church with a Going Home Service following at 3 pm with Pastor Gene Rowell officiating. The Committal Service will be at Wayside Baptist Tabernacle in Pelion.
