Jimmy D. Waller, Jr., 77, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside in Columbus, GA. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am est Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home – Phenix City, AL with Dr. Mike Stevens officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Ft.

Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Waller was born November 15, 1941, son of the late Jimmy D. Waller, Sr. and Hazel Amos Waller.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 of service. Mr. Waller loved music and had his own band. He was also a huge fan of Alabama football.

Mr. Waller was a member of Cascade Hills church, where he played in the praise band. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margie Waller; two sisters, Gloria Waller Dimon and Dorothy Waller Taylor. Mr. Waller is survived by his loving wife Majorie McKenzie Waller of Columbus, GA; children, Ken Waller and wife Marsha of Augusta, GA, Jeff Waller and wife Aitza of Paris, France, Peggy Sue Garrity and husband Bob of Naples, FL and Roger Dale Edwards (Marylou) of Columbus, GA; one brother, Randy Waller and wife Esther of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Allie Bowling (Dwight), Kara Brakefield (Lake), Anissa Waller, Alanis Waller, Alexa Waller, Andrea Waller and Courtney Taylor Edwards; great-grandchildren, Addison, Karolyn and Blanchard; several extended family and close friends Ron and Brenda Dacus.
