Joan Jerie Barrow May 31, 1943 – February 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Joan Jerie Watson Barrow, 75, died Wednesday, February 20, 2019, after an illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019, at John Calvin Presbyterian Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.

She was born in Marion County, SC, and raised by Elizabeth and Herbert Altman. She was a receptionist at Palmetto First Credit Union in Florence. Mrs. Barrow was a member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church.

She also was a member of the Lenora Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a charter member of the former Big Sisters Organization. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, H. A. Barrow, Jr., of Florence; a son, Herbie Archie Barrow (Mary Allison), also of Florence; a brother, Wiley Watson (Nancy) of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Arianna Marie Barrow and Zachary Shane Barrow, both of Florence; a sister-in-law, Annette Monson of Oklahoma City, OK; a niece, Angela Marie Willis of Oklahoma City; and a nephew, Craig Alan Monson of Waco, TX. Memorials may be made to the John Calvin Presbyterian Church Music Ministry, 2000 Marsh Ave.
