Joan Lavon Roush, nee Stephens, 85, of Columbia, IL, died May 6, 2018, in Waterloo, IL. She was born January 9, 1933, in Monette, Arkansas. She is survived by her husband Don Roush; daughter Lisa (Shawn) Roush Morse; sister Maxine Hinson; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas & Hattie (nee Byrn) Stephens, sisters, & brothers. Joan was a member of First Baptist Church-Columbia, Mehlville Retired Teachers Association, Missouri State Retired Teachers Association, & National Education Association. As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: First Baptist Church – Columbia Visitation: 4 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Quernheim Funeral Home Funeral: 10 AM Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo, IL Rev.
