Joan’s Obituary Memorial service for Joan Margaret (Urick) Schreck, 87, of Biwabik, will be 11am Monday, March 11, 2019 at Community United Church of Christ with Pastor John Szarke officiating. Friends may gather one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Community United Church of Christ or the Lakeside Cemetery Association. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Joan died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Essentia Health – Virginia, Minnesota.

Joan was born April 5, 1931 in Biwabik, MN to Victor and Erdine (Nordstrom) Urick. Joan worked as a secretary and business agent for the Horace Mann High School in Biwabik. She was a member of the Community United Church of Christ and enjoyed traveling, reading and knitting.

Her biggest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends. Survivors include her children: Kathleen (Joe) Panichi of Buyck, Jeannine (Greg Judnick) Carlson of Virginia, David (Judy) White of San Antonio, TX, Susan (Steve) Aker of Biwabik, James (Carla) White of South St. Paul and Steven (Kathy) Bradach of Biwabik; grandchildren: Kaylie (Jesse) Wiener, Ryan (Marie) Carlson, Rachel White, Joel White, Amy (Kevin) LaMotte, Steve Aker, Jesse (Brydee) White, Samantha White, Maggie White, Jason (Brett) Eavenson, Tessa (Justin) Larson and Hannah Bradach; 11 great grandchildren; brother, John (Pat) Urick of Tower and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Schreck.
