Joan True Joan True, age 90, of Green Castle, Mo. passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at her home. The daughter of Charles and Julia (Franklin) Frenell, she was born September 6, 1927 in Barstow, Illinois.

On December 24, 1946, she married Dale True of Green Castle, Mo. who preceded her in death on January 3, 1999. Also preceding her was a son, Alan Dale True.

She is survived by: one brother, Pete Frenell and wife Joan; two daughters, Donna and husband Jerry Snyder, and Janis Holt and Bruce Jacobs; grandchildren, Cortney and Jeremiah Billington, Cody Holt and Laci Ledford, and Jeanna Johnson and Derek Jones; step-grandchildren, Kelly Jones, DeEtta Jones, and Emerald Jones; great grandchildren, Aidyn Rowland, Jacetyn Billington, and Aubree Holt; a daughter-in-law, Judy True of Green Castle; and several nieces and nephews. Joan was a housewife taking meals to the field for the men. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan, and enjoyed fishing and playing cards with friends and family.

She enjoyed getting her hair done by Gale at the Spanish Curl. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Reverend Alan Coonfield will officiate the service.

Pallbearers will be Randy True, Brent Shafer, Curt Guiles, Kenny Rainey, Russell Snyder, Craig Guiles and Rob Athon. Burial will follow at the Green Castle Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Dinner will be served at 11:00 AM at Joan’s home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions go to the Green Castle Cemetery.
