Odem/Sinton – Joann Lane Fagan, born August 20, 1930 in Edroy, Texas to Lona (Hall) and Siance Lane, passed away at home Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was 88. Joann Lane married Calvin Fagan on September 5, 1948 in Sinton, Texas.

She resided in Odem, Texas most of her life, except for a brief time in Washington while Calvin served in the Army during the Korean War. Joann was a member of the Church of Christ in Odem. She had a love for gardening and sewing.

Joann will be remembered for the warm smile she greeted everyone with, and her willingness to serve both communities of Sinton and Odem. She never met a stranger. Joann was as friendly as she was kind.

Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will remember her warmth, love and kindness. She took a special interest in each grandchild, spending many hours enjoying shared activities. Joann was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceeded in death by her husband: Calvin Fagan; her parents: Siance and Lona Lane; and a sister: Patsy Wallace. Joann is survived by a son: Gary Lane Fagan (Elizabeth) of Sinton, Texas; daughter: Brenda Gayl Mullinix (Mark) of Richmond, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Brent Mullinix of Kyle, Texas; Brittany Mullinix Scheefer (Chris) of Richmond, Texas; Wesley Fagan and Erin Fagan Bilbo (Cheston), all of Sinton, Texas; 13 great-grandchildren; Blake, Derek, Bryson and Brylee Mullinix; Landen, Trenton and Neiley Fagan; Bliss, Laci, Cade and Ridge Scheefer; Grayson and Griffin Bilbo; sister-in-law: Delle Fagan Mayo; and special nieces: Judy Underbrink, Rhonda Bruce and Melissa Prescott. Visitation will be held Monday, March 18, 2019 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton.

The family will receive guests from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2019, 10:30 AM at Sinton Cemetery in Sinton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of Christ in Odem, or to the charity of choice.
