Joanne D. Berg April 10, 1941 – May 16, 2019 Joanne D. Berg, 78, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 2:00 am in Franciscan Health – Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana. A time of remembrance will be Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. She was born April 10, 1941 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Arthur F. and Muriel M.(Haskin) Pawloske.

Surviving are granddaughter, Candice L. Silvas and grandson, Benjamin A. Berg both of Michigan City, Indiana; two great-grandsons, Bryan Berg and Blake Silvas along with great-granddaughter, Emily Silvas; brother, Michael Pawloske of Nevada; She was preceded in death by Son, Vernon L. Berg, Jr. Joanne was a born again Christian who enjoyed her beloved group of Wednesday Ladies. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and was referred to as the unapologetic cat lady. She was a 1959 graduate of Westville High School and retired from Silgan Container Manufacturing (formerly American Can), La Porte, Indiana.
