Obituary for Joe Brent Johnson COLLEYVILLE – Joe Brent Johnson, 81, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018. He had an amazing life. God blessed him with an innate ability to construct or repair just about anything.

After leaving school at the young age of 14, he worked in Fort Worth at a used car business for five years. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army, later obtaining his GED. He went on to attend Abilene Christian College and graduated with a double major in Business and Religion.

After graduating, he partnered to open a paint and body shop. Becoming friends with two of his customers who were lawyers, he was inspired to go on to law school himself. He attended and graduated from the University of Arizona Law School in Tucson.

Following graduation, he relocated back to Fort Worth. As a result of his difficult upbringing, Joe Brent was determined to be independent and self-reliant. He started a successful family law practice and gave his all to his clients, friends and family members in need.

There is much left unsaid here that encompassed a wonderful and giving life of Joe Brent Johnson. He shared the last 31 years of his life with his wife, Sharron. For the past 14 years, they have lived in Colleyville, where they enjoyed hosting many family gatherings for holidays and other family functions, often debating politics and enjoying card games.

Joe Brent was preceded in death by his father, Cebern Johnson; and mother, Frances Rodgers. Survivors: Loving wife, Sharron; daughters, Janice and Brenda; sisters, Molly Johnson and Linda Timmons; brothers, Clifford Ben Rodgers and Morris Rodgers; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
