Joe’s Obituary Joe David Weaver, age 85, of Lexington passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with the Rev. Matthew Miller and Diane Weaver officiating.

Burial will follow in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday at the Funeral Home. Mr. Weaver was born on March 3, 1934 in Davidson County to Samuel Weaver and Ila Thomason Weaver.

He was retired from Young Hinkle, having worked in assembly and was a lifetime member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be cherished in hearts of his family forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Betty Sue Spurrier Weaver; his daughter, Crystal Dawn Weaver; and three sisters, Betty Rose Jordan, Magdalene Leonard and Pauline Carter.

Surviving are his loving daughter, Diane Weaver of Archdale; a sister, Ruth Laws of AR; four grandchildren, Carrie Bradshaw, Holly Smith, Kayla Beck and Adam Weaver; a host of nieces and nephews; and his precious puppy, Joe Baby. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
