Manchester by the Sea – John Allen Winslow, 81, passed away, Thursday, July 13, 2018 in Gloucester. Mr. Winslow was born in Beverly on January 8, 1937 to Edward Harrison Winslow II of Boston and Louise Holm of Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was educated at Dublin School in Dublin, NH.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Navy. He was married to Carmen Marie Marciano of Topsfield in 1961 and they divorced in 1990. … Read More » He worked as an electrician and as a mechanical engineer for several companies in the Beverly area.

A man who loved the sea, he was an avid sailor and sport fisherman. Mr. Winslow was a founding member of the New England Frogmen and enjoyed SCUBA diving and deep sea fishing. A man who loved the outdoors, he was a life member of the Danvers Fish and Game Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his son, Dr. Jason Allen Winslow of East Setauket, NY, his daughter-in-law, Dr. Andrea Marie Fusco, and by his grand-daughters, Jessica Anne and Jacqueline Andrea Winslow. He is also survived by his partner, Ms. Cynthia Bell of Manchester-by-the-Sea and by his siblings, Mr. Edward Harrison Winslow III of Beverly, Mrs. Linda Parsons of Tuftonboro, NH, and Ms. Susan Winslow of Hudson, MA. A memorial service is to be held at Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:00pm.
