Obituary for John Francis Goad John Francis Goad, age 60, of Spottsville, KY, passed away, Sunday, July 29, 2018, at his home. John was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Doris Goad. John was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, actively serving as church treasurer.

He worked at ARC Machine Shop for more than 20 years before having to retire due to his health. John loved building and restoring old cars. In earlier years, he could be found on the racetrack racing in the very car he had built.

Survivors include: 1 Brother: Charles Goad of Spottsville, KY 1 Niece: Beth Goad of Anderson, IN 1 Nephew: Ben Goad of Spottsville, KY 3 Aunts: Modest Marie Fortenbach, of Houston, TX, Barbara Ann Arflack, of Owensboro, KY, and Mabel Naomi Crowder, of Campbellsville, KY 1 Uncle: Thomas K. Septer, Sr., of Spottsville, KY Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and again on Wednesday starting at 9:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., August 1, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Russell Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
