Obituary for William E. Higginson Jr William E. Higginson, Jr., age 87, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 12:21 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018, at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ladew Higginson, his wife, Patsy Higginson, and a brother, Jerry Higginson. William retired as a tech sergeant from the United States Air Force.
He later worked at Deaconess Hospital in the maintenance department for 21 years. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. Survivors include: Daughter: Teresa Bannister and her husband John of Henderson, KY Son: David Higginson of Corydon, KY Brother: Bud Higginson and his wife Deanna of Osprey, FL 4 Grandchildren: Robin London and her husband Tim, Heather Cornwell (Andrew), Jessica Higginson (Jessica), Lindsey Wedge and her husband Matt 9 Great Grandchildren: Perri, Peyton, Paxton, Kaylee, Cassie, Alyssa, Josh, Corbin, Bradley Nieces and Nephews Relatives and friends are invited to William’s Life Celebration from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and again on Friday starting at 12:00 p.m. until the service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 20, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Larry Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Full military rights will be rendered.
Pallbearers will be: David Higginson, Gary Higginson, Jerry Lee Higginson, Tim London, Andrew Cobb, and Matthew Wedge.
