Obituary for John Fredric Eveland John Fredric Eveland, 77, of Elizabethtown, went home to be with the Lord July 18, 2018. He was a retired English professor, having taught at Iowa State University and Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. He was a Kentucky Colonel.

John was preceded in death by both parents as well as two grandchildren, Joshua Aaron Markham and Lynnsey Nichole Johnson. John is survived by his wife, Dinah Eveland; two sons, Steven Eveland and Richard (Brenda) Eveland both of California; two daughters, Kathryn (Ron) Koon of Nevada and Karen Eveland of Texas; a stepson, Barry (Shelia) Miles of Munfordville; like-a-daughter, Karen (Harvey) Johnson; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and a brother James (Rebecca) Eveland of Oregon. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Cross Point Church, located at 1495 Bacon Creek Road, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, with Pastor Steven Head officiating.
