DAVIS, John H., Jr., 76, of Snake Hill Road, Glocester, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John H. Davis, Sr. and Madeline (Poole) Davis. Mr. Davis was a truck driver at Harris Lumber and a member of the Teamsters Local 251 for many years before retiring.

He was a Vietnam War Air Force Veteran. He is survived by a daughter, Christine A. Sawyer of West Warwick; a sister, Joan Castro and her husband Virgil of West Warwick; three grandchildren, Amanda Sawyer, Sgt. Justin Sawyer and Angelique Aponte and five great grandchildren, Joseph Sawyer, Ryan Fontes, John Fontes, Jacob Sawyer and Irelyn Sawyer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a committal service followed by military honors on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 10:30 am in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. The family requests that you gather at 10:15 am in the cemetery parking lot on the right as you enter the cemetery then we will process to the chapel. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
