GARDNER, Margaret A. (Richardson), 85, of Mulhearn Drive, Coventry, passed away surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter, Denise on Monday, September 17, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert D. Gardner, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James H. Richardson, Sr. and Margaret A. (Kelly) Richardson. She resided in Coventry since 1962.

Mrs. Gardner was an expeditor at BIF for many years until her retirement. Her most memorable time spent was with her family, she loved animals, gardening and shopping. She is survived by her son, Robert D. Gardner, Jr. and his wife Diane of Coventry; a daughter, Denise L. Rotondo and her husband Steve of West Greenwich; three grandchildren, Jason Olivier and his wife Angela, Justin Olivier and Lindsey Gardner; two great grandchildren, Keeley and Ethan Paul and three brothers, Robert, Joseph and Kenneth Richardson.

She was the sister of the late Evelyn Sparfven, James H., Jr., Thomas, Edward, Raymond and Owen Richardson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 at 11:30 am in SS.

John & Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry. Interment will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
