Obituary for John J Brown John J Brown, 83 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born Friday, May 10, 1935 in New York, New York, John was the son of the late William and Katherine Brown. John was raised in New York City.

After graduating High School John joined the United States Army. He served his country honorably, his service to our nation was something John was extremely proud of. After receiving an Honorable Discharge John went on to work in Banking.

He joined Chemical Bank in Manhattan, and that is where he would meet the love of his life. John and Millicent were married, and not too long after began their family. In the early 1970’s the family would move to Old Bridge, and that is where they would remain.

John and Millicent raised their children in Old Bridge. Millicent passed away in 2003, they were married almost 40 years. John enjoyed spending time with his family, and was a fan of the NY Yankees.

John is survived by his beloved children, John and his wife Denise, and Catherine and her husband James, and by his cherished grandchildren, Olivia, and Patrick. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service located at 3377 US Highway 9 Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Interment will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick, NJ.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
