John James Lauria, age 91 , of Trumbull, passed away April 20, 2018 . Mr. Lauria was born in Bridgeport the to the late Dominic and Mildred (Frascatore) Lauria. He was a retired educator for the Town of Trumbull.

Mr. Lauria was an avid fan of the NY Giants and the UConn sports teams. He was a longtime volunteer at the Mercy Learning Center. He initiated the adult education program for the Trumbull Public Schools.

An avid walker, he would stop to chat with many town residents. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Agnes (Carroll) Lauria, his granddaughter Jennifer Lauria; and his daughter-in-law Michelle Lauria. He is survived by three sons; John Lauria and his wife, Cindy of Trumbull, David Lauria of Shelton and Paul Lauria and his wife, Oxana of Clinton;one sister Pearl Sannougeria; four grandchildren Ryan Lauria, Christine Lauria, Jessica Lauria and Michael Lauria and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull. Interment in Long Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
